What we found writing the review

A sealed-machine claim, not just a sealed filter. Dyson states the entire Purifier Cool PC1, not only the filter cartridge, is sealed to HEPA H13 — 99.95% removal at 0.1 micron, tested to EN 1822 — so air can’t bypass filtration through the housing.

Two jobs from one machine. The Air Multiplier tower doubles as a genuine cooling fan, rated at over 250 L/s of airflow at maximum, a function none of the purifier-only rivals in this family offer.

No CADR, no absolute dB figure, no filter-life interval. All three are standard numbers the other purifiers we reviewed publish, and none appear in the Dyson listings we checked — a real gap that makes line-by-line comparison against cheaper rivals impossible on those specific points.

    Best for: A household that wants one device to handle both summer cooling and air purification and is willing to pay a premium for Dyson's sealed-filtration design and app ecosystem.
