What we found writing the reviews

A laser sensor that actually drives fan speed. The Core 300S doesn’t just have an “auto” button — its AirSight Plus laser sensor feeds a four-colour ring and adjusts fan speed to measured particulate levels, which Levoit backs with time-to-target figures (about 12 minutes for a 20 m² room at full speed).

Room coverage that moves between markets. The Core 300S is rated up to 41 m² on the Spanish listing and up to 50 m² on the German listing, for the identical ASIN. We size a purchase to the more conservative figure rather than pick the one that flatters the product.

Optional specialty filters, at extra cost. Beyond the base HEPA-and-carbon cartridge, Levoit sells pet/odour, mould and exhaust-particulate filter variants separately — a real way to adapt one purifier body to a specific household, but a cost the base price doesn’t include.

A genuinely quiet sleep mode, twice over. Both the Core 300S (22 dB) and the entry-level humidifiers in this range publish real sleep-mode dB figures rather than a vague “quiet” claim — one of the more consistent habits across Levoit’s catalogue.

    Levoit rates the Core 300S at 195 m³/h CADR with a laser particle sensor that drives an automatic mode and a four-colour air-quality ring. Sleep mode is published at 22 dB, and the filter accepts three optional specialty cartridges for pet odour, mould spores or vehicle exhaust.

    Best for: A living room or bedroom where automatic speed adjustment and a quiet sleep mode matter, and where the household wants the option to swap in a specialty filter later.
